1. I LOVE the way babies smell. I will give my poor Ryan a bath everyday even though he doesn't need it, and he screams the whole time! I just love to hold him and sniff.....

2. I am the worst person at disciplining. I threaten and never....well hardly ever, follow through unless I get really ticked off about what Luke is doing. I really need to get better at it!

3. When I was in High School I could not wait to get out of Snowflake. Now that we are going to be leaving Snowflake, I am so sad. I cry just at the thought of having to leave and take my boys to Phoenix.

4. My husband is the most handy friend anyone could have. MY house is in total disarray but he has helped so many of his friends lay tile, put down kitchen floors, he can fix anything and I love that he can help people but it drives me nuts that I only have one shower tiled in my house and my kitchen floor isn't 'finished' and things need fixed at MY house! Oh well, I guess I will never be sorry that my husband is kind and willing to help those in need....right?

5. I love to camp! Even more....I love to camp when it rains! Call me weird, I know. I think it all goes back to family vacations when I was growing up. My dad would always bring the horses with us when we camped and so we would always go during the Monsoons so that the horse flies wouldn't bother the horses. So those are some of the best memories I have, camping in the rain.

6. I officially HATE (strong word I know) the paper mill.....Well I'm not really sure who I really hate the most. Smurffit Stone or Catalyst Paper. Whoever it was that was not willing to negotiate the contract for the #2 paper machine is on my crap list. There are over 100 people loosing jobs because of them, but what do they care? There happy, rich butts have never known what it is like to struggle to pay bills every month, or to wonder where they will work in 6 months, or lay awake at nights wondering if they will ever be able to sell their house. I just hate people that have power over people like that, they have no idea what they do to families, marriages and communities.

Ok.....So i have no idea who to tag. So if you haven't done this and it looks fun to you then you are TAGGED!

Life will go on....i'm told

This past week has been one of the most stressful weeks of my life. Tuesday morning, not too long after Caleb got home from working night shift the superintendent of the paper machine he works on called. I told him Caleb was sleeping and he asked me wake him up because he had something really important to talk to him about. The paper machine that Caleb works on is not owned by the paper mill, they just have a contract with another company to use it and the contract is going to expire in October and so on Monday they were in negotiations on a new contract and apparently, nobody wanted to negotiate, so Calebs machine is being shut down, and taken out of the mill....thus eliminating Calebs job.
I don't know if you can comprehend the stress that hit us at that moment....for a few days we didn't know how long Caleb would have a job, if he had one at all! So now we are playing the waiting game, from what his union has come down and told people, Caleb should have a job at another place in the paper mill but we will have to take a pay cut....but we should at least have a job. But now, Caleb is thinking about leaving the mill and going down to Phoenix to do something else because he thinks the paper mill is not far away from completely shutting down.

ANYWAY....on much happier note, here are some pics of the boys, I'm not sure why Luke had to pull his pants down to 'feed the cows' but thats just what I saw when I went looking for him! And our sweet little Ryan, is such a good sleeper. For the first week after we brought him home he would probably sleep 23 hours of the day! Even now he is only waking up 1 or 2 times a night, which is such a nice change! We are so blessed with the 2 sweet boys we have!

HELP!

Ok we are planing to bless Ryan over the 4th of July weekend, and I can not find him an outfit! I don't want a white one. Luke was blessed in a little suit that was given to me at my shower (thanks Melinda!) and I can not, for the life of me, find another one! This may sound dumb, but I want each boy to have their own blessing clothes....maybe they will want to bless their little boys in the outfits they were blessed in....maybe they will think its dumb but I don't care!

Anyway, so if anyone knows where I can look I would really appreciate it! I just have such limited resources here! I have looked everywhere I can think of online and can't get anywhere. Ryan is just so tiny it has to be 0-3 month. I would so appreciate it if anyone had any ideas! Thanks!

The true love of a brother

To understand the love that was shown for this picture, you have to know how much a little boy loves his dump truck! And for him to want to give his baby a ride in it was so sweet! Don't worry, he went like a foot and I took him out....no child endangerment I promise!

Things just got Crazier at the Cate house!

Ryan Blaine Cate made his grand enternance in to the world Tuesday morning. He was born at 7:52 am and was 7 pounds 3 ounces and 20 inches long. He looks just like his big brother but has black hair! He is such a good baby and is so loved already by not only Caleb and I but also by his big brother! We were able to come home the day after he was born instead of the normal 48 hours that is the norm for c-sections. Thank goodness! It is so nice to just get home and get life going again!
